CEB Staff Newsletter #9 - 11 March 2022
People & Development Update
Reminder to confirm your vaccination status.
The COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Specified Facilities) Order outlines the vaccination requirements for education workers, including the booster deadline.
Among other things, the Order requires operators of education facilities to:
- collect, record and hold vaccination information of workers;
- take reasonable steps to prevent the entry of unvaccinated or partially vaccinated workers to the specified facility for the purposes of working;
- take reasonable steps to prevent the entry of workers, unless the worker is fully vaccinated (boosted) or an excepted person or unless an exception applies to the worker;
- communicate this requirement with all education workers.
What is accepted evidence?
Accepted evidence of vaccination status is a copy of a digital COVID vaccination certificate (Service Victoria app or smartphone wallet), a scanned copy of a printed certificate, immunisation history statement or medical exemption.
If you became fully vaccinated (two doses) after 25 October 2021, you must receive your booster dose within 3 months and 14 days of the date on which you became fully vaccinated. You must provide details of the booster booking including the booking date, which CEB is obliged to record.
What do CEB staff need to do to comply with this Order?
There are two steps:
- To facilitate a simple way for CEB staff to satisfy the obligation to provide evidence of being fully vaccinated – boosted before the deadline of 25 March 2022, all CEB employees are required to email their vaccination (or exemption) information to covid@dobcel.catholic.edu.au.
- Login into CEVN and via the Personal Record System (PRS), record your vaccination information. Note, CECV have produced a quick video explaining the process for updating vaccination status in PRS. This ensures that DOBCEL meets our shared obligations as a part of the Catholic Education sector in Victoria for sectoral (deidentified) reporting.
If you have any question about this requirement please speak to your team leader or Ange Jones (Assistant Director People and Development).
