Christine Bulger has tendered her resignation as Education Officer: Religious Education and will commence a role as English teacher at Marian College, Ararat to commence in Term 2.
Christine joined the Catholic Identity and Mission team at the beginning of 2021 and during this time her work has been instrumental. Christine embraced the spirit of the team to partner with colleagues to deliver excellence. Religious Education Leaders in our primary schools have benefitted from her committed and continuous input to support learning for teachers and students alike, including the development of a Scope and Sequence for RE content, scaffolded units of work and a scripture scope and sequence.
While most of Christine’s contribution has been within the primary context, she has collaborated with colleagues to harness the Zoom platform to deliver outstanding professional learning to both graduate and experienced teachers of religious education – secondary and primary. Her professionalism has been exemplary, and we are all the better for her time with us.
Christine goes with our thanks and very best wishes for the future.
Flu Vaccination - No Onsite Clinic This Year
CEB offers support to the staff of the Catholic Education office to receive an annual flu vaccination as an aspect of our staff wellbeing program.
We have previously arranged an onsite vaccination clinic to coincide with the Term 2 CEB staff gathering. However, as the CEB meeting on 26 April is online, an onsite clinic is not planned this year.
As in past years, staff may claim a reimbursement for the cost of a flu vaccination up to $25 received via a pharmacy or local vaccination clinic. Note that consultation fees, as may be charged to attend a GP or medical facility, cannot be claimed for reimbursement.
To claim reimbursement, staff should complete the Expense Claim Form and submit it to Human Resources via Debbie Stabek dstabek@dobcel.catholic.edu.au. You must attach an itemised receipt with your claim.

Congratulations to Carmel Russell and her fiancé, Kevin, who are getting married this Sunday. We hope they have a wonderful celebration with family and friends.
Carmel will be known as Carmel Clarke after the wedding.
