Public Holidays – second half of 2022

Grand Final Friday.
Friday 23 September 2022 is a public holiday in Victoria, starting a long weekend that includes the AFL Grand Final. A leave form is not required, this is a statewide public holiday.
Cup or Show Day.
Melbourne Cup Day is a public holiday across all of Victoria unless an alternate local holiday has been nominated by a regional centre’s Local Government Authority (LGA). CEB staff can take Melbourne Cup Day as a public holiday, or the alternate day nominated by the Local Government Authority (LGA) in their regional centre.
A leave form is not required. However, you should inform your team leader of the public holiday day you intend to take.
Do you know the best places to eat, fuel up, and stretch your legs?

As many CEB staff once again find themselves working across the Diocese, there has been some discussion about knowing the best place for respite stops along the way.
While not an official document, many staff have contributed over time to a google doc with suggestions for where to eat, fuel up, and stretch your legs while travelling around the Diocese of Ballarat.
We’d love your contributions! Please add or revise this working list and share your insights via this shared document.
