175th Anniversary of All Saints Parish: Portland, Heywood & Dartmoor

Over the weekend of 27 and 28 August, celebrations will be held for the 175th anniversary of All Saints Parish Portland. All Saints is the oldest Parish in the Catholic Diocese of Ballarat. It was founded in 1847 by Bishop John Bede Polding OSB of Sydney with the first Parish Priest appointed being Rev Fr John Kavanagh who arrived in September 1847.
There will be several occasions where the Parishioners will celebrate the founding with the penultimate gathering taking place at the Sunday Mass on 28 August at 10.30am, which will be celebrated by Bishop Paul. Following the Mass there will be a commemorative tree planting and a luncheon.
If you would like to attend, please email Kerrie Zammit prior to Friday 12 August as the Parish requires confirmed numbers for seating and catering purposes.
DOBCEL Board Director Visits
Ms Anne Pekin will be attending the Board Office in Ballarat on August 9 and 10, while Ms Helen Weadon will be in attendance on August 25. Both Directors will be available to staff if needed.
Delivery Parking Spaces/Entry & Exit at 200 Gillies Street Office
A reminder that the parking space with the striped markings is to be kept free as this is a dedicated space for delivery vehicles.
An additional reminder also put forward for staff to enter via Gregory Street, and exit the carpark via Gillies Street.
Thank you for your understanding.

Mobile and Landline voicemail messages

Staff who have an office landline and/or a CEB mobile phone are asked to ensure that they have a personalised voicemail message and not the generic automated message, recorded on their device.
With the move to the 3CX system at the beginning of the year, the Administration team are able to transfer calls to either of these phones, however, many staff have not recorded a message and callers are unable to leave their details.
All staff are asked to ensure that a personalised voicemail message has been recorded on their landline and/or mobile phone as soon as possible.
