CEB Offices Christmas Closure
Please find attached below information regarding the closure of CEB Offices and Gifted Leave for the 2022-2023 Christmas/New Year period.
Visitors and Catering to the Office
Visitors
Staff are requested to email Reception when you have visitors attending the Gillies Street office.
This will ensure that whomever is on Reception at the time, will:
- Be aware of incoming visitors
- Be able to contact the correct person that their visitor has arrived
As of Monday 21 November, CEB staff are requested to collect their visitor/s from the Reception foyer as Reception staff will no longer be escorting visitors to offices or meeting rooms.
Catering
As per the process above, if staff have organised catering to be delivered to the Gillies Street office, please ensure you email Reception so that Reception staff are aware of which room the catering is to be delivered to.
Should you have any concerns with this process, please don’t hesitate to contact Kerrie Zammit.
Mildura Service Centre – Scheduled Maintenance
The Air Conditioning at the Mildura Service Centre is due for its scheduled maintenance on Tuesday 22nd November.
Service technicians will be required to access all offices on this day so please be aware that there be some minor interruptions.
DOBCEL Process for Organising Personal Learning Sessions
Please click here for the updated process document on how to lodge a request to run a PL sessions.
A spreadsheet will be compiled over the coming weeks listing DOBCEL preferred venues and caterers. Until published, please feel free to email Reception to assist where possible.
People and Development Update
This year as part of CEB Christmas Giving we will be supporting St Vincent De Paul Society (Vinnies). This is an opportunity for staff to take part in the workplace giving program and to give back to our community. This year the two appeals for staff to donate to are:
2022 Christmas Appeal or VIC Flood Appeal 2022.
If you would like to get involved, there are two appeal boxes in the staff room for any monetary donations. Giving is voluntary, with staff donating what you feel is appropriate acknowledging that you may already support other organisations during the year and at Christmas.
We have also provided boxes to support REVERSE ADVENT CALENDAR. This year the boxes will be distributed by Uniting, Anglicare, and St Vincent De Paul to people in our immediate community who are experiencing food insecurity.
What is a Reverse Advent Calendar?
Unlike a regular Advent Calendar where the focus is on receiving a treat every day the Reverse Advent Calendar takes the focus off receiving and places the focus on giving to others.
Attached below is an information flyer which has suggestions of what to put in the box.
We encourage other CEB service centres to support this great cause.

Staff News
We will warmly welcome Elena Silak as a casual Administration Assistant to the Ballarat office on Monday.
Elena will be working 2 days per week on Reception for the remainder of this year.
