A friendly reminder to all, that if you haven’t yet submitted your 2023 goals into the ELMO performance portal, please submit these using the ‘submit’ button on the right-hand side of the ELMO screen by 28 February 2023.

If you are a Team Leader, please make sure you review and approve goals submitted by your team members, using the ‘approve’ button on the right-hand side of the ELMO screen. This ensures that the performance plan is in progress and can be updated as required.

If you have any questions, please email Fiona Murphy for assistance or access the user guides located on the ELMO home page.

Visitors/Contractors to Gillies Street

To ensure that we are aware of whom is onsite in case of an emergency, a sign-in register has been created and will be located at Reception. All guests and contractors to the Gillies Street office will be asked to sign in prior to being collected. They will also be asked to wear a ‘visitors’ badge whilst on the property.

To ensure that visitors attending the office can be processed in a professional and timely manner, staff are reminded to email reception@dobcel.catholic.edu.au when you make any bookings. The name of the guest and the person to contact on their arrival are entered into the Reception calendar, therefore your assistance is required.

Shrove Tuesday Donations

Thank you to everyone who joined in the celebrations on Shrove Tuesday and participated in the pancake lunch at the Ballarat Office.

Not only was it a great opportunity to gather as a community - we also raised $46.70 for Caritas Australia. We thank those who contributed ingredients and/or helped in any way.

Car Parking - Red Hot Summer Tour

Saturday 4th March is The Red Hot Summer Tour in the North Gardens Reserve at Lake Wendouree. On this day, the Catholic Education Ballarat car park at the Gillies St. Office is being offered for parking.

The car park is being offered for this event to raise funds for cancer research at the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute in Ballarat. Our colleague Jim Waight is organising this fundraiser to assist his cycling team The Jimmy’s Licorice Allsorts. See their Facebook page in their bid to raise $50,000 for research this year.

If you or anyone you know is planning to attend this event entry to the car park will be via Gregory Street through a $10 donation for all day parking.

The car park will be open to the general public and will be open from 10.30am with EFTPOS facilities available for a tax deductible donation.

Mildura Service Centre Update

To accommodate new DOBCEL staff the Mildura Service Centre has now expanded to occupy a new office within the existing building making this space now solely occupied by DOBCEL.

There has been some clarification undertaken in relation to the car parking available within the precinct with some carparks now being identified for specific users, please see Parking Map for further details.

Please note where the DOBCEL pool cars are to be parked and that we can also use the parking labeled as Commercial.

It is requested that all staff please adhere to the parking requirements and conditions as part of our lease agreement.
