Invitation to attend the 2023 Catholic Education Week Awards Mass and Dinner

On behalf of Tom Sexton, CEB Staff are cordially invited to attend the 2023 Catholic Education Week Awards Mass and Dinner being held at Damascus College on 26 May.
This is an opportunity for CEB staff to celebrate with those members from within our schools as they reach 30 years of service to Catholic Education or who have been awarded the Fullness of Life, Partnership or Catholic Life Award.
There is limited seating available, however, if you and a guest would like to attend, please advise Kerrie Zammit via email prior to 4pm on Tuesday 9 May, along with any dietary requirements.
Leadership Team Meeting

On Tuesday, the Leadership Team met at St Thomas More School in Alfredton. The student leaders took the team on a tour of their beautiful school grounds and then led in prayer with their school prayer and acknowledgement of country, which came with words and actions - a lovely way to begin their meeting.
The Leadership Team come together on a monthly basis. This month topics discussed in this meeting included the CECV Digital Re-imagination Project, reviewing observations and feedback from our Staff Engagement Survey as well as a case study focussed on Excursions, Camps and Travel.
The team looks forward to welcoming a number of presenters at their next meeting which will be held at St Alipius Parish School, Ballarat East.
Formation Days

On 26 and 27 September, all CEB staff are expected to attend the Formation Days being held at the Victorian Emergency Management Institute (VEMI) in Mt Macedon.
As mentioned at the Staff Meeting on 20 April, our numbers have grown and accommodation will again be split over 2 locations. To accommodate our group in the 2 locations, the opportunity for staff to twin share and in one case triple share, is available.
A bus will again be made available for those that wish to use this transport option. To ensure that we order a suitable size bus, please also indicate in the form if you would like to travel by bus to and from the venue.
Please click on this link to submit your response. Should no response be received, names will be automatically assigned the twin share option. Please complete by 4pm Friday 12 May.
Mother’s Day Classic

The Mother’s Day Classic raises funds through community fundraising, online fundraising, donations and registration fees with all proceeds (after costs have been deducted) being donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Since 1994, the 5 year survival rate has increased from 76% to 92% - proof that research is making a difference, however, there is still a long way to go before women stop losing their lives to breast cancer.
Most of us would either have been touched or know of a family who has been touched by this hideous disease.
This year CEB Staff Member, Kerrie Zammit will be running for 2 family members who are breast cancer survivors, as well as a beautiful friend who is currently in treatment. Alongside a friend, they will be running the 4km circuit on Mother’s Day in Geelong and as an office it would be great to support their fundraising efforts over the next fortnight!
Below is the link to their fundraising page and as we know, every dollar counts. In the staffroom there will also be a fundraising jar for those of you who still use coins!

We extend gratitude to the hardworking and dedicated medical staff that support and nurture those fighting the biggest fight of their lives each day.
