Diocesan Leadership Gathering

We had a productive meeting over the last 2 days in Horsham with the focus on family and community engagement. 

We thank presenters Veronica Baum and Gillian Baxter for taking the time to travel from Melbourne to present to our principals.  

Gillies Street - Trestle Tables Available for Catering

Two trestle tables and tablecloths have been purchased for staff use when providing catering in the areas adjacent to the meeting rooms. 

These tables will be stored in the Cloak Room located on the right-hand side of the passage when you enter the building from the car park.    

We also take the opportunity to remind you that if you are using this area and these facilities to please return everything to the condition that you found them in.

Gillies Street - Meeting Room 3

As part of the recent Ballarat office survey, a suggestion was made to provide a more relaxed meeting space with soft lounge furnishings rather than a meeting table and chairs. As such, an initial trial of this will be undertaken in Meeting Room 3, starting from Monday, 22 May.  

Should you have any meetings booked in this room that may no longer be suitable for this changed furniture arrangement, could you please work with Elena on Reception to find an alternate meeting room.

Could anyone travelling to the Zone Service Centres please take any appropriate mail or parcels from the staff locker area located in the Ballarat office.

Staff News

We are pleased to announce the appointment of two new staff members to the SIMON Team, commencing next month:  Angela van Berkel will take on the role of Office Administrator and Support Analyst and Matthew Le Nepveu will be a Web Developer.  Angela is coming to us from St Patrick’s College in Ballarat where she has been an Administration Officer assisting the Assistant Principal and Director of Curriculum.  Matthew is currently an eDiscovery Data Analyst with IBM Ballarat.
