CEB Staff Newsletter #9 - 30 Apr 2021
Changes to Workplace Density Limits
The Victorian State Government has further relaxed its COVIDSafe settings, a sign of growing confidence in the community's ability to navigate safely through the pandemic. Density limits no longer apply in any office area that is not accessible by members of the public, including private offices, open-plan offices, internal meeting rooms and shared spaces such as kitchens, lunchrooms and bathrooms. Staff attending onsite at a CEB office do not need to register via a shared roster.
A density limit of one person per two square metres only applies in spaces that are accessible to the general public, including lobbies and reception areas. Staff must ensure that your Outlook Calendar/Webcentral is accurate and up to date (see below). All staff and visitors are also required to ‘sign in’ on arrival at all CEB office locations.
The Executive Director's Update to Principals #14: COVID Update - 29 Apr 2021 includes information regarding school density limits.
Government directives require that you carry a face mask with you when you leave home. You are encouraged to continue to physically distance where possible. For more information, visit the vic.gov.au/coronavirus website.
For more information about CEB's COVIDSafe plan, visit Knowledge Banks > 09. CEB Staff> 08.COVID resources. The ‘Q&A for a safe return to the workplace’ has been updated (see doc 17.).

New Website Domain Name and Email Addresses
As part of our transition to DOBCEL, we are aligning our website and email addresses with the DOBCEL company name.
Website Impact
Our website will change over to dobcel.catholic.edu.au next week. Note that links to ceob.edu.au pages will remain active and will continue to work. New templates will be provided in due course containing the new logo and website address for staff to gradually change over their documents.
Email Address Impact
CEB staff email addresses are changing to username@dobcel.catholic.edu.au, for example, tsexton@dobcel.catholic.edu.au.
Your new @dobcel.catholic.edu.au email address has been set up as an alias of your existing email account, so your current email login remains the same (for now). Emails sent to any of @dobcel.catholic.edu.au, @ceob.edu.au or @ceoballarat.catholic.edu.au will be delivered to your normal mailbox.
In the coming months, the IT team will be working on changing all staff logins to reflect this change, giving us consistency across our organisation. This will also allow us to set up single sign-on for many of our frequently used systems, such as Microsoft, Google, Zoom, WebEx etc, which will result in a more streamlined and efficient experience for all staff and reduce confusion as to which account to use.
Board Email Addresses
DOBCEL Board Directors also now have the new @dobcel.catholic.edu.au email addresses, however emails sent to their previous email addresses will still be received.
Impact on Schools
The above changes will not impact school email addresses or websites. We will announce these changes to schools in the next Weekly Newsletter.
Cup or Show Day 2021
Melbourne Cup Day is a public holiday across all of Victoria unless an alternate local holiday has been nominated by a regional centre’s Local Government Authority (LGA).
CEB staff can take Melbourne Cup Day as a public holiday or the alternate day, around the same time, nominated by the LGA in their regional centre.
A leave form is not required. However, you should inform your team leader of the day you wish to take.
New CEB Organisational Chart
A new version of the CEB Organisational Chart is available on our website and in Knowledge Banks under 9. CEB Staff (last updated Wednesday 28 April).
An updated version of the Directory will be available soon.

WebCentral and Outlook

Just a reminder that it is essential for all staff to keep their Outlook calendar and WebCentral up to date with your movements. This serves as a log of your activity as a part of CEB’s duty of care to staff and should there ever be a need for contact tracing. Note, by updating your Outlook Calendar, Webcentral is automatically updated.
