CEB Staff Newsletter #15 - 17 Jun 2021
COVID Reminders for CEB Staff
Working Onsite
If you can work from home, you should continue to work from home. This continues to be the preferred mode at this time.
Capacity limits in workplaces such as offices are now capped at 75% or 30 people if the total workplace is 40 or less. The density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm still applies in this situation. Therefore if staff wish to attend the office please contact your Team Leader, until further notice.
Working in Schools
Non-essential onsite meetings or school visits should be deferred or held remotely until further notice. Where a school visit is considered essential, please discuss this with your Team Leader first.
July CEB Staff Meeting
In anticipation of restrictions continuing to ease, it is planned that the July CEB Staff Meeting will be held in-person in Ballarat at the new Damascus Event Centre (DEC) at Damascus College. If health advice changes and we are required to move to a virtual platform, staff will be advised accordingly.
A key focus of the Staff Meeting will be CEB’s engagement with the Reframing Learning and Teaching Environments (ReLATE) initiative. To accommodate the ReLATE facilitators, this day will be hosted on Thursday 8 July, requiring dedicated Team Meetings to be moved to Wednesday 7 July. It is hoped that this organisational requirement will not impact adversely on team arrangements.
Tuesday 6 July will remain an all-of-CEB meeting at Damascus College.
The Agenda will be distributed early next week after it has been endorsed by the Stewardship Leadership team.
CEB Staff Retreat 2021
December will be an opportunity for CEB Staff members to engage in a “mountain” retreat experience. The retreat will be facilitated at the Victorian Emergency Management Institute in Mount Macedon on 15 and 16 December. Provision for travel and accommodation has been made on the Tuesday evening for distance travellers (over three hours).
Reflective of our ECSI approach that commits to dialogue and encounter, the retreat will be invitational and reflective of the performance, development, and review conversation you have with your Team Leader on your engagement in the ministry of Catholic education. The retreat will offer a diverse range of prayer, learnings and experiences from which participants may choose.
An introduction to the structure and facilitation of the Retreat will be supplied at the CEB staff meeting in July, but to assist in the early stages of planning could you please complete the Google form to gauge numbers for the two days.
Staff Prayer
Staff prayer will take place next Monday morning, 21 June, at 8.30am.
To join our staff prayer please use this Zoom link.
This is the prayer we will be using.
