Executive Director’s Update to Principals #25 - 29 April 2022
Paul Bissinella – Announcement of Resignation & New Appointment
I write to inform you that Mr Paul Bissinella has been appointed as Principal Consultant with Catholic Education Sandhurst, working with the schools in the Goulburn Valley region of the Diocese. Paul will commence this new position on Monday 30 May 2022 and he will conclude his time as Principal of St Francis Xavier on Friday 20 May 2022.
Paul has served the community of St Francis Xavier over the past 8 years and one term in a professional and generous manner. He has been a passionate contributor to the Diocesan Education Community during his time in our Diocese and has also held the positions of Deputy Principal at St Mary’s Primary School, Colac and Principal at St Mary’s Primary School, Swan Hill.
As a result of Paul’s contribution, St Francis Xavier is known as a school that endeavours to provide strong and robust learning opportunities for all students and is a community that is extremely proud of their story and strengths. Paul has been instrumental in working with his staff to design and facilitate a learning program that serves each student. He has also overseen significant changes to the physical environment and governance structure at the school.
Our wider education community is grateful to Paul for his contribution and congratulates him on his new appointment.
In order to support the transition to the next Principal of St Francis Xavier, I am very pleased to announce that Mrs Jane Clark has willingly accepted the position as Interim Principal while the process of appointing a new Principal is underway. As a current leader at St Francis Xavier, Jane will be familiar to many of you and along with co-deputies Mrs Jayne Mohr and Ms Rebecca Conroy, will lead the school in this time of transition.
Consultation and advertising for a new Principal will commence shortly. I am hoping the successful Principal will be available to begin sometime in the second half of this year. As Executive Director of Catholic Education Ballarat, I offer my congratulations to Paul and express my gratitude for his wonderful contribution. I am certain that he will share his knowledge, wisdom and passion for Catholic Education with his new colleagues.
I ask you to join me in wishing Paul all the best in his new role and I thank Jane for her willingness to step into the role of Interim Principal.
Yours sincerely,
