Danny Patton - Announcement of Resignation
Danny Patton has advised me of his resignation as Principal of St Patrick’s Primary School, St Arnaud, effective at the end of the school year. We are very grateful for the ways in which Danny has strategically led this school community for the past nine years.
During Danny’s time at the school, there has been significant growth in enrolments: 27 students when he commenced and 106 at census this year! Student data has also grown, with the school having the highest percentage of above average progress for reading grade three 2019 to grade five 2021 in a non-government school. To accommodate this substantial enrolment growth, Danny has led several improvements to learning spaces and recreations areas, and the school now boasts many wonderful facilities.
One of Danny’s leadership strengths, and will be a particular legacy, is the development of close connections between the school and parish and local community.
Danny has accepted a position at Catherine McAuley College, Bendigo, and will be making the move there with his family. We wish Danny, Amanda and their four children all the best for this next adventure and into the future.
We will be able to formally acknowledge Danny’s leadership and contribution to the Diocese later this year.
