Mary Hogan – Announcement of Appointment
Mary Hogan has been appointed as Principal of St Joseph’s Primary School, Charlton. Mary will commence this new position at the beginning of the 2023 school year.
Mary is a very experienced educator, having been an integral member of the St Mary’s Primary School, Donald staff for almost 30 years. In that time Mary has taught across all grade levels as a Classroom Teacher and as a Specialist Teacher in The Arts, the Library and Health and Physical Education.
Mary has had many leadership roles over the year, significantly as Religious Education Leader and Learning Diversity Leader. She has also undertaken the Acting Principal role on many occasions and has done this in a very professional and accomplished manner.
Mary is an active member of the East Wimmera Parish, providing great witness to the faith community of Donald and is actively involved in the parish sacramental program.
Mary has a great love and understanding of small communities and places high importance of positive partnerships with families, parish and the local community.

Trinity Johns – Announcement of Appointment
Trinity Johns has been appointed as Principal of St Patrick’s Primary School, St Arnaud. Trinity will commence this new position at the beginning of the 2023 school year.
Trinity has been a staff member of St Patrick’s since 2010. In that time she has taken on a number of roles, predominantly as a Classroom Teacher but also as Junior School Leader, Learning Diversity Leader, Numeracy Co-ordinator and Acting Principal.
Trinity is passionate about Catholic Education and has a very strong commitment to collaboration to ensure quality learning that promotes opportunities for all to grow.
Trinity is a passionate, enthusiastic and reflective learner, educator and leader. Her leadership is underpinned by the development of relationships with all. She has a clear vision of high-quality education for all students and models this vision by personal and professional example.
Trinity displays exemplary knowledge, practice and commitment in her roles and highly values the partnerships between school, home, parish and wider community.

Janet Cain – Announcement of Appointment
Janet Cain has been appointed as Principal of St Colman’s Mortlake. Janet will commence this new position at the beginning of the 2023 school year.
Janet has been working at St Thomas’ Terang since the start of the 2020 school year. In her time at St Thomas’, Janet has been a Classroom Teacher, Religious Education Leader and Learning Diversity Leader. She also served as a member of the school’s Leadership Team.
Prior to St Thomas’, Janet was a member of the St Patrick’s Camperdown school community. In her time at St Patrick’s Janet taught across all year levels and contributed significantly to the leadership of the school, holding various leadership roles including Learning and Teaching Leader, Professional Learning Communities Leader, Special Needs Leader, Junior Team Leader and was a member of the school’s Leadership Team for ten years.
Janet has shown herself to be a passionate and dedicated educator and has made significant contributions to the schools she has taught in. Janet has proven to be a highly skilled child and adult educator as demonstrated in the many classroom and leadership positions she has held over the years. She has developed strong relationships with children, staff and parents. Through working closely with her staff and school community, she has developed a clear and committed focus on student learning outcomes and growth, with a strong belief in each individual young person. Janet is adept at leading teams of people and has exhibited an outstanding ability to communicate effectively with children, teachers and parents.
Janet has also been attending to her professional growth through participation in recent professional learning opportunities in Learning and Teaching, Learning Diversity and Diocesan leadership programs.
I offer my congratulations to Janet. I also extend my appreciation to Stacey Atkins as interim Principal and the staff at St Colman’s for the committed and diligent manner with which they have led the community since the start of the year.
