Zoom Meeting - Enterprise Bargaining Agreement Update
Earlier today, an email invitation was sent out to Principals with a link to attend a scheduled Zoom Meeting at 10:00AM – 11:00AM on Tuesday 20th December. The purpose of this meeting is for members of the CEB Team to provide an update on the current Enterprise Bargaining Agreement negotiations.
Internet Filtering Issues Update
Status Update - Friday, December 15th: The internet filter issue has been identified and resolved. The issue with safe search via the Bing search engine was identified as a possible source to access inappropriate content, and by working with our network technology partner ORRO and ICT Counterparts at Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools, this fix as now been applied globally to the Fortinet Security Appliances for the DOBCEL network.
Further to our previous advice, if members of your school’s team identify any filtering discrepancies, please:
- Alert the DOBCEL ICT Helpdesk via emailing helpdesk@dobcel.catholic.edu.au,
- Include any supplementary material such as screenshots and timestamps,
- Specify what hardware and software is being used (for example, an iPad and Safari),
- If possible, list the steps taken by the user to encounter the discrepancy.
International Teacher Survey
As you would be aware, DOBCEL have commenced an international recruitment campaign to assist will filling vacant FTE across our Diocese.
We are aware that some schools are entering the Christmas break with staff vacancies, including unfilled classroom teacher positions.
This questionnaire will assist in identifying vacancies across the schools to enable us to determine the number of teachers required to reach meet the needs of the schools.
