Co-Principals at Creswick for Term 1

Over the holiday period I have maintained contact with Terry Brennan as he continues to rest and recuperate from his ill health at the end of last year. While Terry is making good progress and his medical team are monitoring his rehabilitation, it is important that his energy and focus is on his health.

To enable Terry's recovery, he will be taking personal leave for the duration of Term 1, 2023. Catholic Education Ballarat staff have developed a plan for interim principalship to be put in place at St Augustine’s Primary School during this time.

To that end, Shaun Mohr and Bambi Afford, the current co-Principals of St Columba’s School Ballarat North, have graciously agreed to support the St Augustine’s community and will take on the role of Interim co-Principals. This means they will take on the role of co-Principals for both school communities during Term 1, sharing their time, competence and energy between St Columba’s and St Augustine’s.

Shaun and Bambi will commence this role on Friday 27 January 2023. They are planning to ensure they have a presence in both St Augustine’s and St Columba’s communities as staff and students return to school and are being supported with additional resourcing in order to put in place effective structures and arrangements at both schools.

As Executive Director of Catholic Education Ballarat, I offer my sincere thanks to Shaun and Bambi and express my gratitude for their willingness to support the wider Catholic Education community.

I ask you to join me in supporting Terry in thought and prayer as he continues his journey to good health.
