Strategies to Acquit Time in Lieu for Teachers
Thank you for contributing to the thinking about the acquittal of time-in-lieu during the Diocesan Leadership Gathering by VC last Thursday. We have taken the feedback and will seek to put forward a position early next term, mindful of the impact on school calendars and the requirement for any system response to have enough flexibility to support the diverse needs across the diocese. We are grateful for the thinking and work that is being undertaken to manage this significant change and are working towards 2023 and 2024 guidance.

Application for Placement of DOBCEL portable buildings 2024
As a part of CEBs planning for 2024, Principals are asked to please complete the 2024 Application for Placement of DOBCEL Portable Buildings survey so that we can assess and review any portable building requirements for 2024.
It is requested that this very quick, 4 question survey please be completed by no later than the end of Term 2, Friday 23 June so that CEB can be in contact with schools in Term 3 to discuss further as required.

WGEA Reporting Requirements
The Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 requires non-public sector employers with 100 or more employees to submit a report to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA). The reporting period is the same each year, from 1 April (the previous year) to 31 March (the current year).
As part of our governance obligations, DOBCEL successfully submitted our WGEA Report covering all DOBCEL schools on 30 May 2023. Access to the public report and details prepared to share in the next staff newsletter can be viewed here.
