International Recruitment Survey
We are progressing our International Recruitment campaign and we are about to commence screening interviews with candidates. Prior to the screening process, the following steps have been completed:
- HR review of resumes to identify suitability of transfer of international qualifications and experience to meet visa requirements
- Completion of questionnaire by applicants to establish their commitment to assist with visa costs
We understand each schools’ recruitment needs changes, however, Principals are asked to complete the International Recruitment survey. This will assist greatly in gaining an understanding of your current and future recruitment needs. It will also assist CEB to understand what accommodation (if any) each school has available for potential applicants.
Once the screening interviews have been completed, we will then provide you with the candidate’s information to allow schools to run their own interviews to determine the suitability of the applicant.
I thank you in advance for completing the survey. Please note that if you do not have any current or expected difficultly in filling vacancies, but do have accommodation facilities, please complete the survey.

Catholic Capital Grants - update:
Australian Government Capital Grants Program (CGP)
Applications for the Australian Government Capital Grants Program (CGP) that closed on the Friday 24 March are still being evaluated and assessed by CCG, with successful applicants to be advised during November/December 2023. Schools that have applied for funding under this program are also encouraged to apply under the upcoming Victorian Government Capital Funding Program (VGCFP).
Victorian Government Capital Funding Program (VGCFP)
Applications for the VGCFP are currently proposed to open on 8 August 2023 and close on 13 October 2023 with successful school projects announced in June 2024. Applications will be through the SmartyGrants portal and will require schools to submit costings, plans, construction timelines and evidence of financial need, etc. More details and an information session will be provided once applications are open but if your school is intending on applying, please commence discussions with your Architect ASAP to ensure that you are able to provide the required documentation by the application closing date.
Please note that this is the only round open for applications within the 4-year program running from 2023 through to 2026. Meaning that at this stage, the next opportunity to apply for any future funding under a VGCFP may not be until 2027 or beyond. All schools are encouraged to prepare and submit applications.
