Announcement of Appointment - Ss Michael & John's, Horsham
I am writing to inform you that we have appointed Mrs Louise Chesterfield as the new Principal of Ss Michael and John’s Primary School, Horsham from the beginning of the 2024 school year.
Louise has been a member of the Ss Michael and John’s school community since 1997 and has taken on numerous leadership positions during this time, including being a member of the Executive Leadership Team since 2011. She has led the school in multiple areas including Learning Diversity and Wellbeing, Deputy Principal and Acting Principal. Louise was also seconded to fill in as Acting Principal at Nhill on occasions when required. Louise has previously held a Diocese position as a member of the Ballarat Diocesan Wellbeing Standing Committee since 2017, which is now called the now the Children and Young People Safeguarding and Wellbeing Consultative Committee.
Louise completed a Diploma of Teaching at Aquinas College, Ballarat, a Bachelor of Teaching at Monash University and a Master of Education in Wellbeing at the University of Melbourne.
Louise has a very inclusive approach to learning and teaching and has a passion for the wellbeing and inclusiveness of all members of the community. These skills will be invaluable as leader of the Ss Michael and John’s school community.
