Announcement of Appointment - Northern Zone Education Consultant
Our recent recruitment campaign for the position of Education Consultant: Northern Zone attracted strong interest from our own Diocese and beyond. We were blessed to receive an excellent field of applicants.
After much consideration and deliberation, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Mitchell to the position of Education Consultant: Northern Zone.
Chris will commence in the role at the beginning of Term 3.
Chris will come to us from the Diocese of Sandhurst, where he is currently Principal of St Joseph’s Primary School in Kerang, a position he has held since January 2019. St Joseph’s is a flourishing school community, and under Chris’ leadership, has continued to develop a reputation for excellence and as a place where young people can thrive. Chris has also previously worked within several schools across the Diocese of Ballarat, including as principal of St Mary’s, Robinvale in 2018, and as an Education Officer within the Learning and Teaching Team of Catholic Education Ballarat, from 2010-17.
Chris studied the Enhancing Catholic School Identity Intensive at KU Leuven, Belgium in 2023 and is currently studying for a Masters of Instructional Leadership at the University of Melbourne.
Chris and his family live within the greater Swan Hill region, where he has a strong involvement in community sport.
