Executive Director's Update to Principals #18: COVID Update - 27 May 2021
On-Site Supervision Arrangements Update
Catholic Education Ballarat has received clarification through CECV that all Catholic schools will transition to remote and flexible learning from Monday 31 May. To assist with preparing for this, it is recommended that schools use Friday 28 May as a planning and preparation day.
Acting Premier Merlino in his press conference this morning stated that “schools will need to close other than for the children of authorised workers and vulnerable kids”. Accordingly, Catholic schools will deliver a supervision program for children of authorised and essential workers and vulnerable children throughout the whole lockdown period (including Friday’s preparation day if schools choose to take this).

Wellbeing Team Engagement with Schools
Understanding that schools will have limited capacity to respond in all circumstances, members of the CEB Wellbeing Team, which comprises Learning Diversity, Visiting Teachers - Sensory Impairments, Speech Pathologists, Student Wellbeing and Psychology, will attempt to maintain contact with schools during the coming 7 days in support of existing engagements.
If you have specific requirements please feel free to contact the relevant staff member or Wellbeing Leader, Tony Perkins.
