Principal Appointment – St Mary's, Warracknabeal
I am delighted to advise that Julie Leonard has been appointed Principal of St Mary’s, Warracknabeal commencing at the beginning of the 2025 school year.
Julie has served the community of Sacred Heart Primary School, Colac since 2020 as a professional and effective leader. She is a passionate and pastoral contributor to our Diocesan education community and demonstrates a dedication that is both genuine and generous.
I ask you to join me in wishing Julie all the best in her new role.

Student travel concession processes - survey request
The Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) is researching how to improve student travel concessions and reduce the burden on school administration staff.
Schools are encouraged to participant in a short 10-minute survey, to inform how school administration staff currently receive, manage, and validate students’ public transport travel passes and PTV concession ID applications.
The survey will help DTP gather insights about what works, what doesn’t, and the changes you’d like to see in a future process.
- Please share this survey with a relevant administration staff member involved in the current concessions process to complete on behalf of your school.
- The survey participant can remain anonymous and there is no obligation to identify your school.
- Your data and privacy are safely managed in adherence to DTP’s privacy management and data collection protocols. See the Privacy Collection Statement at the start of the survey.
