Executive Director's Update to Principals #24: Principalship at St Brigid’s Primary School, Ballan - 11 Jun 2021
Principalship at St Brigid’s Primary School, Ballan
Due to ongoing health concerns and on advice from her doctor, Gabe Driscoll, Principal of St Brigid’s Primary School, Ballan, will need to continue her period of sick leave until at least the end of Term 3. We continue to keep Gabe in our thoughts and prayers.
Anthony Clifford will continue in his role as Interim Principal for the remainder of Term 2, however Anthony is unable to continue on beyond this term. We would like to thank Anthony for his willingness to step in to assist the St Brigid’s School Community and the strength of leadership he has shown over the last term.
Following discussions with Paul Bissinella at St Francis Xavier Primary School, Ballarat East, we are pleased to announce that Jayne Bosworth will step into the role of Interim Principal while Gabe is on sick leave during Term 3.
Jayne has had extensive experience in education and has held the role of Deputy Principal and Curriculum Leader at St Francis Xavier Primary School for the last 5 years. Throughout this time Jayne has taken on other leadership roles including a significant period as Acting Principal. In recent years Jayne has worked closely with the University of Melbourne and is currently participating in the Pathways to School Leadership Program (Brown’s Collective). In addition to this, Jayne has a post-graduate certificate in Educational Intervention focusing on Response to Intervention.
Jayne is a passionate, enthusiastic and reflective learner, educator and leader. Her leadership is underpinned by the development of relationships with all. She has a clear vision of high-quality education for all students and models this vision by personal and professional example.
Anthony Clifford will continue to spend some time at St Brigid’s during Term 3 (in an advisory capacity) to support and assist Jayne, the staff, and students.
Again, we take this opportunity to thank Anthony for his willingness to assist, ensuring that there is minimal disruption to learning and teaching for the school community.
We wish Jayne all the very best as she transitions to the role of Interim Principal at St Brigid’s during Term 3.
