Executive Director’s Update to Principals #14 - 2 April 2025

  • Principal Resignation – St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School, Coragulac

Principal Resignation – St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School, Coragulac

I write to inform you that Leanne Eastman has announced her resignation from her position of Principal of St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School Coragulac, effective at the end of Term 3, 2025.

Leanne joined the St Brendan’s community in 2020. During her time at St Brendan’s, Leanne has made significant contributions to the learning and teaching practices in the school, with a particular focus on student wellbeing and student voice. Leanne has supported staff in working collaboratively to develop an engaging curriculum and to deliver high-quality teaching and learning for all students.

Leanne also demonstrated great commitment to all members of the St Brendan’s community and Parish, working tirelessly to build a strong sense of engagement and belonging, placing great importance on the development of the whole person.

Our wider diocesan education community is also grateful to Leanne for her passionate and willing contributions through local, zone and diocesan principal networks.

Leanne has been a dedicated servant of Catholic education, willingly sharing her knowledge and skills gained from her extensive educational experiences. Throughout her career, Leanne has been involved in teaching and leading in both primary and secondary schools. Her experience included working in schools in Melton, Bathurst Island (NT), Georgia (USA) and a number of schools in Geelong. Leanne first came to the Ballarat Diocese as a teacher and Director of Students at Trinity College Colac before commencing her role at St Brendan’s.

I invite you to join me in offering our gratitude to Leanne for her wonderful contributions to all in our community and wish her every blessing for the next phase of her journey.

Ensuring a smooth transition to the next principal of St Brendan’s is a high priority, and a consultation and advertising process will shortly commence. We will share further information about this process over the coming weeks.

Executive Director
