Executive Director’s Update to Principals #33 - 3 July 2025

  • St Brendan's Coragulac Principal Announcement

St Brendan's Coragulac Principal Announcement

I write to inform you that Gerard Douglas has been appointed Principal of St Brendan’s, Coragulac. Gerard will commence in this position at the beginning of Term Four 2025.

As you are aware, Gerard is currently the Assistant to the Principal, a Year 5/6 teacher, and the Literacy and Sustainability Leader at St Brendan’s.

Prior to commencing at St Brendan’s, Gerard was at Lisieux Catholic Primary School in Torquay, where he held a number of senior leadership positions, including Religious Education Leader and Learning Diversity Leader, as well as spending a term as Acting Deputy Principal.

Throughout his career, Gerard has taught in a number of schools, from Years 1-6, and has held various leadership roles within these schools. He has demonstrated himself to be a passionate and dedicated educator, making significant contributions to the schools where he has taught. He has been responsible for working collaboratively with teams of teachers and the entire staff to promote and implement strategies to bring about improved learning and wellbeing outcomes for students and staff.

I believe Gerard has a great deal to offer the school and community of St Brendan’s Coragulac and I ask you to join me in wishing Gerard all the best in his role as Principal.

With best wishes,

Megan Ioannou
Acting Executive Director
