In Commemoration - John Byrne

Dear all,

It is with sadness that I share the news that John Byrne, father of our Deputy Director, Matt Byrne, passed away yesterday afternoon at the age of 88. 

John was a devoted husband to Tricia and the much-loved father of seven children – Matt, Stephen, Mary, Michael, Monica, Tim, and Nick, and their families. He was a man of deep faith and integrity, and his legacy lives on in his children and grandchildren.

Matt and his family are sustained by their strong Catholic faith during this time of grief and remembrance. I ask that you please keep Matt, his mum Tricia, and the entire Byrne family in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead as they come together to farewell a cherished father, husband and grandfather.

We pray that John is now at peace in God’s eternal care.

On behalf of us all, I extend our deepest condolences to Matt and his family. We will share funeral arrangements when they are available.
