Executive Director’s Update to Principals #43 - 20 August 2025
St Joseph's Coleraine Update
It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Danny Franc as the Principal of St Joseph’s Coleraine, commencing in January 2026.
Danny Franc comes to us with over 25 years of experience in Catholic education and a deep commitment to faith-based leadership. He has served in a variety of senior roles, including Director of Faith and Mission, Acting Deputy Principal, Religious Education Leader, and currently as Interim Principal at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Coleraine.
Danny’s leadership is centred on strong relationships, collaboration, and placing people at the heart of every decision. During his time as Interim Principal, Danny has strengthened parish-school partnerships, clarified school expectations, and led with visibility, consistency, and integrity. He is committed to nurturing a learning environment where students are known and valued, staff are supported and encouraged, and families feel welcome and connected.
In his own words, Danny sees this appointment “not as a stepping-stone, but as a long-term commitment to the growth and flourishing of the St Joseph’s school community.” He believes wholeheartedly in the mission of Catholic education to form young people of faith, character, and hope.
We warmly welcome Danny to this role and look forward to working together to continue building on the proud traditions and bright future of St Joseph’s Coleraine.
Please join me in congratulating and supporting Danny as he begins this important ministry of leadership in our Diocesan community.
Yours sincerely,
Tom Sexton
Executive Director
