Executive Director's Update to Principals #30: COVID Update - 5 Jul 2021
As we carry on our mission,
May we connect with our God: Father, Son and Spirit.
May compassion ground us always
May strength sustain us in this moment
And tenacity move us into the next.
May our presence bring some certainty into our corner of the world.
May our compassion bring healing to many, and to ourselves.
Quarantining Staff
As the new term begins next week, there may be school staff who are returning from a designated red zone and required to quarantine for up to fourteen days.
If the staff member is otherwise well, but required to quarantine at home, then they should be in a position to undertake working from home.
If the staff member’s regular duties wouldn’t be available to them (e.g. working directly with students) then they could undertake some appropriate alternative duties such as developing student resources or undertake some other relevant and appropriate service to the school, which could include video-conferencing with students.
Resources could be couriered to the staff member’s home if necessary, from which to perform alternative duties.
If the staff member becomes unwell while quarantining, then they would be entitled to sick leave. As a last resort, miscellaneous leave could be paid to the staff members if no alternative duties can be provided.
If any further clarification is required, please contact Michael Trainor on 03 5337 7109.
Updated School Operations Guide
We anticipate that an updated version of the School Operations Guide will be available in early Term 3. We will circulate this when it becomes available.
Next COVID-19 Update
We will continue to send out COVID-19 updates on an as needs basis. Please liaise with your Education Consultant with any questions or concerns.
Stay safe and continue to look after each other…
Ever blessings.
