COVID Reminders for CEB Staff

Working Onsite

A reminder that while lockdown restrictions have been significantly eased in Victoria, if you can work from home, you must continue work from home.

Current restrictions mean that only 25% of employees can return to working on-site in the office until further notice. A density quotient of 1 person per 4 sqm continues to apply.

If there is an essential reason to visit the office, please discuss this with your Team Leader before attending.

Working in Schools

The most recent School Operations Guide defines essential visitors to schools as those providing health and wellbeing support directly related to students, which will include a number of our staff. Outside of these staff, if there is an essential reason to visit a school, please discuss this with your Team Leader before attending.

Facemasks

A reminder that facemasks remain mandatory for both indoor and outdoor settings anywhere other than your home (unless an exemption applies).

CEB Staff Retreat

As mentioned at the end of last term and the July CEB Staff meeting, December will be an opportunity for CEB Staff members to engage in a “mountain” retreat experience. The retreat will be facilitated at the Victorian Emergency Management Institute in Mt Macedon on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 December. Provision for travel and accommodation has been made on Tuesday evening for distance travellers (over three hours) and all attendees on Wednesday night.

Please complete the Google form (if you haven’t already) to indicate your intentions by Friday 27 August.

2022 CEB Staff Meeting Dates

Please note the following CEB Staff Meeting dates which have been confirmed by the Leadership team.

• Meeting 1: Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 February
• Meeting 2: Tuesday 26 April (online)
• Meeting 3: Tuesday 5 - Thursday 7 July
• Meeting 4: Tuesday 4 - Thursday 6 October
• Retreat: during the week 5 - 9 December (days TBC)

Sarah Quinn will send out an Outlook calendar invite for these next week. 

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

DOBCEL’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to all staff providing access to complimentary, confidential counselling services. To make an appointment, or for more information, contact Converge International on 1300 687 327 or via their website. 

Wellbeing Webinar Series – Converge International (First session today!)

Last week we shared that we are working with Converge International on a series of wellbeing seminars for staff. The details were announced in Executive Director’s COVID Update #39.

Each session will provide different insights and strategies for supporting our own and others’ wellbeing. Hosted by Converge International on GoToWebinar, these sessions are open to all Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education employees. A recording of each session will be published and available for 30 days following each session. The full schedule, details, booking links and handouts are available here.

Staff Prayer

A reminder that Staff Prayer will take place on the morning of Monday 2 August, commencing at 8.30am.  

The google meet link and the prayer for the session will be on our SIMON homepage on Monday.
