Central Zone Mass - Ballarat Diocese
All Catholic Education Office staff are invited to attend mass to celebrate the start of the school year with staff groups from our Central Zone schools - please see invite for details.
Regardless of your role in CEB, as contributors to the endeavour of Catholic Education, your presence and participation in this celebration is valued and welcome should you choose to attend.
At this stage we have over 700 staff from schools attending so parking will be rather difficult around the Cathedral.
For other areas of our diocese, please check with your local school network to see if they are holding a local celebration.

CEB Group Emails

In 2022, a review of CEBs extensive Global Email Address List was conducted and it was concluded that the number and makeup of the email groups were out of date. To that end, new group emails have been designed in line with the Organisation structure and were approved by the Leadership Team.
These will now go live as of Monday 23 January. All other email groups will be deleted.
Should you wish to create an email ‘group’ outside of what has been designed, you are required to do this within your personal email address book.
If you have any queries, please direct them to Kerrie Zammit.

DOBCEL IT Help in 2023

With the start of a new year; it’s a great time to refresh and remind staff and schools on how to reach out to the DOBCEL ICT Team when you need help. The DOBCEL ICT Team are on deck Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Some common questions revolve around what services can they provide and how can they assist both DOBCEL Staff and Schools with their ICT questions and support – but they can also assist by providing more detailed and strategic assistance in the following areas:
- ICT Infrastructure like servers, networking (wired and Wi-Fi) and backups.
- IT Security and System hardening including internally review and audits.
- Strategic planning for all areas of ICT systems and processes to assist with review and quoting for new systems.
- Offer technical support and advice to schools as a technical representative when looking at new technologies or working with 3rd party vendors.
- Assistance with 3rd party IT providers to assist and help with day-to-day troubleshooting.
- End to End Support and management of all school ICT assets and infrastructure including life cycling and maintenance.
While there services are not limited to the above – they are here to provide support and be technology advocates for staff and schools to ensure the solutions put in place are robust, effective, and manageable but also are cost-effective.
We wish all schools a successful start to 2023 and are excited to provide raft of new solutions and systems to help secure and enhance our Diocesan schools.
Please see below how to efficiently connect with our ICT Team.
