Executive Director’s Update to Principals #5: COVID Update - 28 January 2022
God of experts and amateurs, in a time of great uncertainty,
we begin to realise how little we each know.
Yet you have placed within our community those who speak from reason,
who know the science, whose profession it is to protect.
May we hear the voices of informed wisdom, and give thanks for what is already here:
the knowledge that overcomes ignorance,
the love that overcomes fear
the community that includes the grace we all need.
Amen.

Continuity of Learning and Staffing Provision Challenges
As we approach students and staff returning to school next week, to support principals with continuity of learning in the event of a number of staff testing positive or being required to isolate the Staffing Provision process has been developed. This is a process in development and will be adjusted by our practical experience as the term progresses. Please contact your Education Consultant regarding any disruption to regular learning and teaching. If they cannot be contacted immediately and it is urgent, please reach out to any of the other Consultants whose contact details are within the attached document.
CEB would appreciate RI & MPJP schools informing CEB of any disruption in your setting.
There is also a basic template letter to support communication with families in the event there is a disruption to regular delivery. This letter should be personalised to your school context and details amended to reflect the adjustments.
Any feedback on the process or correspondence, given the developmental nature, will be welcomed by your Education Consultant.
Next COVID Update
We will continue to monitor the situation and advise principals of any updates. Please liaise with the COVID Support team (see left hand column) or your Education Consultant with any questions or concerns.
Stay safe and continue to look after each other…
Every blessing.
